Much longer day today. Woke up later than I intended, thanks to my phone alarm not going off, but in the end I made it work.
As a precaution, I think it'd be best to keep names out of this journal. If my friends, coworkers, or (worst-case) the Marines see this, I'd like to have a bit of plausible deniability instead of frank evidence.
That being said, work was interesting today. We have a number of attractive women working there and that definitely helps the day pass by just that much quicker.
I was a dick on the internet and felt bad. It's funny how that works sometimes.
The Clippers beat the Heat, which is always interesting. As a die-hard Lakers fan, I will admit watching the Clippers this season is a hell of a lot more fun than watching the Lakers.
I need to remember to weigh myself in the morning. I weighed myself before I left for work and I was a whopping 174.1. I need to gain a good ten pounds or so before I feel like I'm at a strong weight.
On to the details:
Day 2:
DIET
Breakfast: protein shake with water (around 40 g protein), big bowl of the vegetarian soup from Costco. Delicious stuff.
Snack: Lava Flow from Juice It Up, with another 35 g of protein. Funny though, I finished the smoothie and was hungrier afterward than I was when I started it.
Lunch: Carnitas quesadilla from Baja Fresh. Yeah, I kind off fell of the ladder with that one. But in my defense, I was really damn hungry.
Dinner: Chicken soup and 3 Hawaiian rolls.
Misc: About four bottles of water, one of which contained those Nestea crystal packets. Those actually make me much thirstier than the water by itself, but the water at work is Arrowhead, and those packets are the only way to make them palatable.
EXERCISE:
Good day of lifting, but I need to find my book if I'm to continue. It might be upstairs in the play room.
Lifting:
20x3 pullups on a minute: 5x3 unassisted and 15x3 with 80 lbs assisted.
20x3 dead lifts on a minute: 95 lbs
3xcircuit:
10 hands under shoulders pushups
10 jumps
10 floor dumbbell bench, 30 lbs
10x2 dumbbell clean and jerk, 30lbs
Biking to and from work, same as yesterday.
SLEEP
Went to bed around 4 or so, slept till 1230. So we'll call it 8 and a half hours. Not bad, but would like to shift the schedule earlier so I have time to lift before those 2-9 shifts I'm so fond of at work.
---
I need to ensure I get flexible. I am horrendously inflexible and working out hard like this will only make it worse. I need to find a time and a good routine to do so I can stay loose.
Also, I need to protect my hands. I might have 4 blisters on my hands just from one day of lifting. Oh well.
Once again journal, I bid you adieu and pray that keeping this log will help me stay on the straight and narrow buff-wise.
Love,
this guy
